MINISTRY PROFILE
Rev. Rick Donkor (affectionately called Pastor Ricky or Rick, Bishop or Apostle Donkor by many) serves as the Director of R.I.S.E, a ministry training & leadership development program of Revelation church, Los Angeles, founded by Presiding Prophet & Pastor Lovy L. Elias.
He is also the Founder and President of Cutting-edge Ministries Int, an Equipping Ministry and Organization.
CALL TO MINISTRY
Pastor Rick was called into the ministry in 1983. He was a founding member of the Int. Central Gospel Church (ICGC), a vast and multifaceted ministry organization touting over a 1000 branches globally, with headquaters in Accra, Ghana.
YOUTH PASTOR & CHURCH PLANTER:
After serving as ICGC's first youth pastor with approximately 700 youth under his pastoral oversight, Rev. Donkor was sent out of the mother-church by his Pastor & Mentor, Dr Mensa Otabil in 1987, to birth and nurture a branch of the church in the city of Cape Coast. Against all odds, he raised a church of over 400 in attendance in 2-years, before migrating to the US in 1990 where he, subsequently, pioneered the first international branch of ICGC in Los Angeles, California in 1995.
AUTHOR
Rev. Rick Donkor is the author of – *THE COLOR OF GOD: AMERICA, THE CHURCH & THE POLITICS OF RACE*, a rivetting book that climbed to the bestseller list on Amazon, just hours upon its release as an E-book in 2016. 'The Color of God' also took the #1 spot in two categories on Amazon:
1. Church Leadership
2. Racial Discrimination.
The printed version or hardcopy of "The Color of God" is published by Trilogy, the publishing arm of Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN).
EDUCATION:
Bishop Donkor holds a Master's Degree in Intercultural Studies from the School of World Mission, Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, CA. He's in the final stages of his Doctoral degree program at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon.
MARRIAGE & FAMILY:
Bishop Donkor is married to his wife of almost 37yrs, Lady/Mama Felicia, and they've been blessed with 3 adult children - Sharon, Jude & Chantel, as well as two grandchildren - Andronicus "Enuonyam" (Glory) Donkor & Thaddeus "Nkunim" (Victory) Donkor.
